IN THE ERONGO REGION OF NAMIBIA, Southern Africa, two types of Flamingo are found: by official name, these are the Lesser Flamingo (Phoeniconaias minor) and the Greater Flamingo (Phoenicopterus roseus). The particular Flamingoes in Flight featured in this content were photographed a number of years ago in the seaside City of Swakopmund (Erongo Region), Namibia, where flocks of these migratory Flamingoes are often spotted during appropriate seasons.

TO SEE the Flock in these particular photographic captures one has to train one’s eye to the “horizon line” of the sea, where the birds are flying in a direct linear formation.
