Reflections on ornamental water lilies – nature appreciation photography

THE PHOTOGRAPH of stunning, ornamental pink water lilies featured in this content was captured in Harare, Zimbabwe; and the supporting cloudscape vistas were likewise photographed in Zimbabwe. Although extremely ornamental as a waterscape/ landscape feature, such aquatic plants at times require careful monitoring to mitigate against their acknowledged tendency to “overgrow” in environments where they may be thriving, thereby presenting a generalized threat to water ecosystems.
