THERE IS A RECIPROCAL quiet or silent linguistic communication that tends to happen in nature if one pauses long enough to “listen” for it. This sort of communication can lead to the revelation of some of nature’s seemingly hidden aspects. Nature tends to reward intentional observation. Approaching the landscape with an open heart and a focused lens sometimes leads to unexpected discoveries as the environment seems to respond in kind. And it does so through the showcasing of unique, seemingly “little things” at times: through a heart-shaped anthill, like the one reflected above, for instance, or through the ethereal silver linings of twilight skies.

NATURE HAS a tendency to reward those who communicate with it effectively; and these reflected moments in nature serve as a reminder that connecting with the natural world around us allows the natural environment to reflect its special beauty back to us in truly artistic and unexpected ways.
